Executive Development Programme
What is Executive Development?
This Social Spark project is a series of masterclasses – on everything from improving digital capability to transforming governance – for leaders in established third sector organisations (including charities, co-operatives, and social enterprises).
How does it work?
Up to 12 funded places are available – you’ll need to show eligibility (see below) and commit to attending programme sessions. Successful applicants will be invited to attend 8 full day sessions, consisting of a masterclass in the morning, lunch, and an action learning set with your fellow participants in the afternoon.
What will the masterclasses and action learning sets be like?
Masterclasses will be led by experts in their field, with a workshop structure designed to help you apply the learning directly to your own workplace context. Action learning sets will be in groups of six, and allow participants to share current challenges and harness the power of the group to find solutions.
When is this going to happen?
There’s a one hour information session online on 31 October (register below), after which there is one workshop per month from this November to June 2024.
Am I eligible?
If you have a senior role (for example chief executive) in an established charity or social enterprise based in Basildon, with a turnover of over £100,000 and company status (CIC, CIO, CLG etc), then you will be eligible for the programme. You’ll also need support from your board or line manager.
