Dr Pi-Chi Chen
Dr Pi-Chi Chen is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the Faculty of Business and Law at ARU. She leads modules and supervises dissertations at PG and PhD levels. Her primary research is international business and strategies of multinational enterprises with several publications: US Firms' Business Competence in the Taiwanese IT Industry (Springer, 2016) and Examining Strategy Diversity and Interdependence in the MNC's Subsidiaries and their Functional Activities (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013). Her recent research focuses on Chinese regional studies and global business, with the publication of The Digitization of Business in China (Palgrave, 2018).
Her research also involves economic integration in East Asia, multinational networks, digitalisation and business education (Teaching and Learning). Prior to joining ARU, Dr Chen was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of MBA International Business at the University of Greenwich Business School and a stockbroker covering Asia-Pacific equity markets in the City of London. She was responsible for performing fundamental analysis and identifying industry and franchise factors that lead to a stock's outperformance.
